Two Free Christian Audiobooks for March!

Every month Christianaudio.com gives away a free audiobook download. This month they are giving away not one but TWO audiobooks. Yep, two of them.  Awesome stuff!  Each free download for the month of March must be "purchased" separately, in two different orders, for the coupon codes to work and for you to receive them for FREE.

This month's downloads are the unabridged version of The Cost of Discipleship and the also unabridged version of Fifty Reasons Why Jesus Came to Die.

From the Christianaudio.com site about The Cost of Discipleship - Viewed against the background of Nazi Germany, Bonhoeffer's book is striking enough. At the same time, it shares with many great Christian classics a quality of timelessness, so that it has spoken, and continues to speak powerfully, to the varied concerns of the contemporary world.

Also from the Christianaudio.com site about Fifty Reasons Why Jesus Came To Die - The most important questions anyone can ask are: Why was Jesus Christ crucified? Why did he suffer so much? What has this to do with me? Finally, who sent him to his death? The answer to the last question is that God did. Jesus was God's Son. The suffering was unsurpassed, but the whole message of the Bible leads to this answer.

Click on the image of the books above or any of the links to get your free downloads. If you don't have an account with them all you need to do is sign up for one. There is no obligation to purchase and it is free to sign up. After you complete the purchase by putting in the free code in the box provided you are given 12 attempts to download the books for a whole year. Now that's incredible. So there is no time pressure or anything. If your computer malfunctions you can just go back and access the audiobooks again up to 12 times.

Remember, each free download for the month of March must be "purchased" separately, in two different orders, for the coupon codes to work and for you to receive them for FREE.

Blogoversary Giveaway - CLOSED

Celebrate good times - come on! The day is here! It is Fruitful Vine's second year of blogging. Happy Blogoversary to me!!! It's party time! What would a party be without gifts right? We'll get there...hang on. :)

I've had a fun time blogging these past two years. I've met some really wonderful people and made great friends. Blogging has been an addition to my life that I don't regret. Although there was a time that I was so addicted to blogging that I had to go on a fast to free myself. Wanna hear what I accomplished on the fast? Read the post HERE or by clicking on the word fast in the previous sentence. I am so looking forward to what the next year holds!

A great big thank you to all those who comment on my posts and also those who follow my blog. I remember when I got the first follower. I was the happiest blogger alive. I felt important. :) I remember times when I thought whether it was worth it and the Lord would remind me of those who have said how they were so blessed by reading some thing I posted. That kept me going.

So...in celebration of my second year of blogging I'm giving away two gifts.

The first one comes from Shelf Reliance who sent me some THRIVE products through my other blog on Preparedness and Food Storage. For those who are interested in food storage and preparedness Shelf Reliance is a good resource. With Shelf Reliance you have the ability to build your food storage plan and pay as you go from month to month which is an excellent feature that will help the budget wise family to keep within their financial plan.

The THRIVE products I received were impressive to say the least. In my estimation they are a good investment for building up your emergency supply. So without further ado here are the ones that I am giving away to one wonderful commenter:

One 13.4oz Cheese Blend Pouch
One 11.6oz Instant Milk Pouch
One 6.7oz Butter Powder Pouch
Winning this is a good way to try their products before you buy. Awesome!

The 2nd item that I'm giving away is a jewelry/knick knack box. Here are two views of this gorgeous item. I have one and it is so pretty that I sometimes just run my hand on it to feel it's smoothness and admire it.

Excellent!

All you have to do to get a chance to win is leave a comment letting me know which gift you would prefer and your email address. If you feel uncomfortable leaving your email address in the comments then after you comment letting me know which one of the gifts you prefer then send it to me via email using the email me link in the left sidebar right under my profile information. That's it. Very simple. Comment away!

Giveaway ends at 1159pm Monday night and is open worldwide. Winners will be notified via email. If the winners fail to respond within 1 week of being notified then a new winner will be chosen.

What's the Difference Between Acrylic & Gel Nails?

By Alice Seba

The Hot Mama Makeover has reached the hands of many deserving moms and
I hope you are enjoying it and implementing the tips included. If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, get it for free here http://www.HotMamaMakeover.com.

One question that a number of moms who have read the guide have asked me is “What’s the difference between acrylic and gel nails?” Here are some comparisons to help you decide which works best for you.

Acrylic nails - Composed of 2 parts: liquid and powder
- Take a bit longer than gels to dry
- Most are stronger, but can break due to lack of flexibility
- Cost less than gels
- Requires filling every 2-3 weeks depending on how quickly your nails grow

Gel Nails
- More natural looking
- Limited filing required reducing the risk of burns/cuts
- Dry with a UV lamp - Quick to dry, but the whole application process takes longer
- Lifting can occur if you have oily nails or live in a humid environment
- Cost is higher than acrylics
- Also require filling every 2-3 weeks

Most nail salons offer both options. Always talk with your nail technician about any concerns you have beforehand. Choose the option that works best for you and enjoy you’re pretty, new nails, you Hot Mama, you! ;) ------

Raw Mom Summit

I found out about this awesome event called The Raw Mom Summit and had to share. Nine days of awesome health information being shared by leaders. The lineup of speakers looks awesome. I receive emails from some of these very same people. Others I've never heard of but reading the short bio on them on the sign up page I'm excited. This event is all about arming ourselves as mothers with tools and information to help us and our families become healthier. Here's a sampling of some of the issues to be discussed:

# How to prepare for a Healthy Pregnancy, Labor and Childbirth?
# What is Attachment Parenting?
# Which natural remedies to use when your children are sick?
# How to feed a meat-eating partner if you are vegetarian or vegan?
# What should you feed yourself when you're overwhelmed with cravings?
# How to get kids excited and involved in their own food-prep?
# What to do when our kids rebel against our healthy diet?

You know I can't resist sharing a good thing with my friends and blog readers. The good news is that it's FREE! Yep! FREE!

When I started reading all the information to be discussed I must admit I started feeling a little down because I felt that there was no way in the world I could afford to pay for that kind of information. But I kept on reading and when I got further down the page and saw that it was free my eyes and mouth popped open in disbelief. I'm glad no one was there to see me because I already have big eyes and for them to pop open even more I must have looked a sight. LOL! But it wouldn't have mattered, I was so overcome with gratitude to God for this gift that tears sprang to my eyes. When I went downstairs to hang my laundry I couldn't help but lift my heart and voice in thanksgiving to God for this awesome gift. All that information for FREE?!

Check it out and sign up. It looks promising. The Raw Mom Summit starts June 22nd right after Father's Day. I'm so excited I've already shared it on Twitter and Facebook and now my blog readers. Click the icon at the top of this post or click HERE to be taken to the information/sign up page.
